Had a good week at finding new artists and these are the best two.
Dryden Goodwin - Found him a while back but never fully researched and as you saw last night when I posted his work he is like an orgasm for the art world. Hnggg. I love it. I like the red studies the best (http://www.drydengoodwin.com/red_stud.htm). All done in watercolour, which I think is amazing. He’s stuck all over my space in my studio at college ^.^
HOAKSER - My boyfriend showed me him just, and already I’m like OH MY GOD. He’s based in Birmingham and runs a shop called Bench in the custard factory (where I get all my spray paint from and stuff, so you can see he’s dedicated to what he does). I love his range and how he has worked on canvas and clothes as well as walls.
Other artists you could look at are George Shaw (painter) and Paul Graham (photographer). I went to see their work this week at Wolverhampton and Coventry and was once again like OH MY GOD. Aoagmdnagh both so good.
February 3, 2012 / 0 notesI’m going to start letting you know about artists that I find, maybe do like an artist of the week. The artist(s) - as it might be more than one - that have captured my attention the most, will put like links to their work up too so you can all look too. Good idea or do you lot not give a shit?
